And that’s the comic! Thank you, ladies and gentleman, you’ve been a great audience! *curtain*
Just kidding. This is the end of the second chapter, though. I’ve been setting up this shot in my head for over a year now…I hope it’s up to snuff.

In case you couldn’t tell by virtue of me doing a comic about ghosts (I swear), I love Halloween. Loooooove it. I’m also a fan of crappy horror movies, but I’ve realized I’ve seen few real horror classics. Thanks to Netflix, I put on Candyman whilst inking today’s strip.
The actual movie was a little confusing and farfetched, even for a slasher film. However, much to the detriment of my productivity, I enjoyed seeing Chicago given a shoutout. Cabrini Green has always fascinated me in a morbid way; the decrepit projects are the kind of place I’d go if I were invisible. Alas, that is not the case, so I gladly leave it up to a movie to take up the slack and investigate for me. They didn’t do a bad job of it, I thought. The actual buildings ain’t much to look at — they are projects, after all — but the sense of danger and creepiness was adequately portrayed. They’re almost all gone now, torn down in a fit of conscience on the city’s behalf, the residents flung across the map or just left homeless. Still, I’m glad the terror was captured while they stood, a very real framework for an urban legend.
Welp, this is it: my 100th strip. I threw in a little extra shadowing, because I care. :D I had really, really hoped I’d reach this far; it’s still heartening to experience. Thanks for reading!
Inspired by a Modern Marvels episode I saw over the weekend. Apparently when I get the rare chance to suckle at cable’s teat, it leaks out in unexpected ways. *shakes head* Let’s pretend that last sentence is in Braille and move on.
Sorry, peeps. Due to migraine problems, I’m uploading just pencils for this strip. I tried to ink it, but inking with the Wacom tablet puts a great strain on my neck, and I don’t want to make things worse. Plus, I’ve always liked the sketchiness of pencil work (which is what drew me to Megatoyko), and thought it’d be a nice “behind the scenes” look at the skeleton of a strip. If you hate pencils, um…I don’t know what to tell you. Enjoy this for now, and hopefully I’ll feel well enough to have Thursday’s strip properly inked up.
True story, folks. The CHL is just a shell. (Hey, that sounds like a weirdass PSA slogan.) Coast Guard tore everything out in 1987. There was a salesman who rented it for five years, but after he skedaddled, the CG basically said, “we’re making it so no one ever rents this lighthouse again.” You know what I say? TOUGH TITTIES, COAST GUARD.
…please don’t throw me in jail.
