Désespoir, you bitch.
Edison talked about making a phone that could communicate to the spirit world, but for all intents and purposes, the idea seems to be vaporware. I’d like to think that the graphic from Edison Hate Future is a representation of what the ghost phone might have looked like. Even if it isn’t, there’s good, clean fun to be had in seeing Edison call people “fuckers.”
Celeste just likes saying “kill.”
Can I just say how much I loved drawing a ghost phone operator? Yeah.

For non-Chicagoans, the large building in the first panel is the Harold Washinton Library downtown. Unfortunately for me, “Library” is not actually written on the outside, necessitating this bloggity footnote.
The “Str8 Bustin’” book is based on a real book written by Dan Aykroyd’s father Peter, which currently sits on my Amazon wishlist.
