I’m pretty sure this will be the last we hear on this subject. Yup.
Forgive the handhewn look of the comic; I wanted to see if inking by hand was any faster than using Photoshop. I’m thinking yes, but I may have to experiment more. If hand-inking is consistently quicker, I may have to get a bionic spine and new eyes. (I can’t win.)
If you don’t remember Todd, I don’t blame you — he appeared waaaay back yonder, a Chicago Architecture Foundation rival to Daniel’s Windy City Architecture. I intended to ramp up the WCA/CAF rivalry bit by bit, but I’d say this more than makes up for it, no?
Isn’t it always that you only bring up the important stuff at the end of the conversation?
For those unfamiliar with “IT” and why it would trigger Daniel’s nightmare again.. I don’t remember how the mini-series did it, but in the book, a gigantic spider tries to kill the grown-up protagonists inside the sewer. If that doesn’t trigger nightmares, nothing will.
And with those words of warning still ringing in our hero’s ears, we say goodbye to chapter 7! Was it good for you, too?
I’ll be taking next week off as I prepare for chapter 8. If I’m not thumb-deep in video games furiously planning and scripting, I’ll probably do a sketch or two and paste it up on the site. As always, thanks for reading. :)
Well, that could have gone better.
By the way, I’ve crunched the numbers, and this is my 200th strip! I wanted to finish out the chapter this week, so you’re getting three updates this week. That’s two things to celebrate! Go nuts! :D
Imagine if Daniel had called up Geena Davis or Alec Baldwin by mistake. Oops.
Stephanie has in her hand, of course, a copy of the newspaper clipping found in Nate’s papers. In her other hand is a ceremonial dagger called an athame (pronounced ath-aye-me, I’m told). And to think, all I knew of athames before this arc was from NetHack.
