Stubborn, stubborn, stubborn.

Bad news, compadres. My monitor finally gave up the ghost this morning. It had been acting up for a while, but if I didn’t turn it off at night, it usually sprang back to life the next day. This time I only got a blinking green light for my trouble, eventually turning to stubborn amber. A bigger, better replacement is on its way.
The timing on this is most unfortunate. I was all atwitter about introducing two new characters I’ve had in the wings for weeks. I haven’t been this excited since I brought Ghost Spankers into the fold.
But even though my attempted methods to get the strip up have failed…that doesn’t mean I can’t introduce you to them anyway. Sorry, no info beyond the basic sketches for now, except to say the girl is not normally dressed like Kanaya from Homestuck. I just thought it was appropriate.
Real life strikes again. It’s moving time for me again, and unfortunately more energy has been going towards finding a new place than furthering the comic. So, I’m putting up a little “floater” (heh) until I find the time to do the next strip properly. Hope you enjoy it!
Well guys, I’ve been fighting a cold the past several days, but I was gung-ho about getting a comic up anyway. That is, until I actually sat down to draw one. Then the dizziness and sweats overtook me and that was that, pretty much. I promise to flagellate myself in my Nyquil-soaked fever dreams.
Barring a full strip, here’s a preview/practice sketch for the next comic, featuring our eponymous ghostie. Sure she doesn’t look too happy, but really, how many happy ghosts have you met?
As anyone who follows me on Twitter might have noticed, I’ve been cuckoo for Homestuck lately. Took me a longass time and several attempts to get into it, but over two weeks, I’ve managed to burn through its ~5500 page archive (along with several movies and interactive games). So, owing to health issues, I decided to recap D’s tell-all tale in the Andrew Hussie fashion. Yes, I know he hasn’t met his ghost face-to-face yet, but it’s my filler, dammit.
I really hate to do this, seeing how the strip only updates twice a week, but I’m invoking my special birthday privileges. Despite my best efforts, I caught something at PAX this past weekend (again — I actually came up with this joke after getting sick at last year’s PAX) and am feeling none too chipper. Expect Wighthouse to resume on Monday.
For Wighthouse’s six-month anniversary, I wanted to do something a little different. Enjoy!
