I might have mentioned before that I read a fascinating book a while ago called Phone Calls from the Dead (which is, lamentably, out of print). It was written in 1979, well before the modern cell phone. However, one would think such transdimensional calls would persist into the latest technology, just as phantom voices jumped from vinyl to cassette to telephone wire. Still, I haven’t heard of any cases of ghost cell phone calls. Has mobile technology finally snapped the otherworldly tether? Or will more research reveal another avenue of supernatural communication?
Do people on investigations and such ever claim that spirits drain their cell phone battery like they do with their other equipment?
you know what, I have no idea! I don’t think they have their cells on them, usually, at least on TV. grassroots ghost hunting groups might tell a different story.
Apparently many ghosts, if not a full blown poltergeist, can selectively drain certain batteries while leaving others alone. I don’t think she’d drain it if she wanted him to answer the phone at some point. And there’s enough electrical sources elsewhere in the lighthouse that she wouldn’t need to really.
