When I penned the script for this comic, I plucked the idea of a high school ghost hunting group out of thin air. Then I took a trip to a place that had cable, and naturally switched on Ghost Adventures (which might look a liiiiittle familiar). They were investigating places in Salem, MA, and who else could have joined them but…a teenager in a ghost hunting group at school. Reality, you’ve bested me again. (If you can, I encourage you to seek out the episode; it’s worth it alone for what the kid is wearing.)

Even better is the get-up the “Self proclaimed Real WARLOCK” is wearing in that same episode… I died laughing at THAT!
oh goodness yes, the warlock certainly is a hoot. it’s a shame that while the production values go up as the seasons go on, the outlandishness of the guests also increases. just hunt the ghosts, guys.
